WARNING: This post is TOP SECRET because my Weight Watchers consultant CANNOT find out! Deal?
Kathryn and I headed to Beans and Berries a newly opened cafe in Dundee to try out their Freak Shakes and boy where they good!
I think they are going for a cafe/diner style vibe.
For those of you who don’t know what a Freak Shake is just think of a gigantic milkshake topped with anything you can get your hands on!
Beans and Berries have six Freak Shakes to choose from a mix of chocolate, fruit or sweetie flavoured ones:
I went for Sweet ‘n’ Salty to match my soul and Kathryn went for Fairytale to match hers.
Now you probably aren’t going to believe me when I say that these freak shakes were actually pretty tame but seriously google American Freak Shakes and you will know exactly what I mean.
Luckily I didn’t fancy mine coming topped with nine doughnuts and a burger so these were perfect for us!
Kathryn’s was so pretty she almost didn’t want to drink it however she somehow managed to force herself ↓
I obviously also had to force myself to try mine…
Kathryn’s Fairytale shake was super super sweet and definitely not for the faint hearted mainly because I am sure it had the potential to induce a heat attack.
Mine was the perfect combination of sweet and salty. If you feel like getting your freak on I would highly recommend giving it a try.
Shockingly neither of us actually managed to finish them although we did give it a good go. I had to stop when I started to feel a layer of sugar forming over my teeth.
There is also normal milkshakes, waffles, crepes and traybakes if you fancy trying something different.
Now I’m away to make some sort of kale and spinach juice to make myself feel less guilty.
